Welcome to the Future of Convenience with Glen Eden’s New RFID Cards!
We’re excited to introduce RFID (radio-frequency identification) cards this season, designed to make your experience smoother, faster, and more enjoyable. Replacing season pass cards and paper lift tickets, RFID cards offers numerous benefits to enhance your visit, ensuring you spend more time enjoying the slopes and less time waiting in line.
Benefits of RFID Cards
Seamless Access
Gone are the days of fumbling with tickets or passes. Our RFID system allows you to glide through entry points with ease. Simply keep your RFID card in a secured pocket on the left side of your body, and our sensors will automatically grant you hands-free gate and lift access.
Reloadable and Reusable
The RFID card is designed for convenience. Reload your card online or at any of our kiosks, and use it season after season. Say goodbye to single-use tickets and hello to a more sustainable option.
Enhanced Security
Your safety and security are our top priorities. The RFID system reduces the risk fraud, ensuring that your personal information and access remain secure.

Frequently Asked Question’s
RFID stands for Radio-Frequency IDentification. A circuit chip is integrated into your lift ticket or season pass card. When passing through the Axess gates this circuit chip will activate, opening the gates for you and allowing you access to the chairlift.
When you approach the gates at the chairlifts, the RFID card will register and automatically grant you access. A photograph is taken by cameras at the top of the lift entry gate. Your uploaded photo along with ticket or season pass information are displayed at the lane control monitor and are visible to Lift Operators to confirm identification.
It is recommended to keep your card on the left side of your body in a secure pocket of your jacket or snow pants that you do not open often while at the park.
Please report lost, stolen or misplaced cards immediately to Visitor Services by email at visitorservices@gleneden.on.ca or go to the Visitor Centre for a replacement card. Guests may not access the slopes without their card.
If a card is found in use by a person other than the rightful holder, it will be revoked and the rightful card holder will be barred from the facilities for the remainder of the winter season, without refund.
Glen Eden card replacement fee applies to:
- Damaged cards
- Tapered antennas (Please do not put a hole punch in the card as this will prevent the card from working)
- Deactivated cards (do not place near your mobile phone)
- Lost, misplaced or stolen cards
NOTE: Every reprinted pass will have a non-refundable administrative fee associated to it. Reprints are at the discretion of Glen Eden and may be capped at any time during the season.
