Please remember that space is limited, and program registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitor Services staff will follow up with you after you submit a Booking Request Form to confirm that space is available in your selected program, and to coordinate your booking details.

Yes! If you would like to sign up for the One-Day Discover Program and the Multi-Visit Lesson Program, please complete both Booking Request Forms.

While our First Tracks programs are for beginners, the One-Day Discover Program will introduce you to the basics of skiing. It is perfect for absolute beginners with no prior experience. Our Multi-Visit Lesson Program is better suited to beginners who have some basic ski/snowboard experience, and/or who have a strong interest in learning a winter sport over multiple lessons.

Yes, at present, our First Tracks programs at Glen Eden are offered in English only.

Our One-Day Discover Program is open to families, youth, and children who are ages 8+. Our Multi-Visit Lesson Program is only for children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18.  For both programs, participants under the age of 18 require the consent of a parent or guardian.

The Government of Canada defines a recent immigrant as someone who moved to Canada within the last five years. Our First Tracks programs are intended for both recent immigrants as well as those who moved to Canada more than five years ago. Our Booking Request Forms include a voluntary question that asks participants to self-identify; if you do not wish to disclose this information, you may select this option on the form.

The One-Day Discover Program runs for 4-hours and includes a lesson taught by our certified instructors and a lift ticket to enjoy the slopes. The lesson follows a “station rotation” model for beginners, with fundamental skills introduced at different learning stations.

Our Multi-Visit Lesson Program runs once per week at a recurring time for eight consecutive weeks, with a one-week break in February for those scheduled during our program pause over the Family Day Weekend (February 19-23). Each weekly lesson is 1.5 hours long. Lessons begin in early January. Note: An alternative option to our 8-week lesson program is a March Break Camp that runs daily for five days (2-hour daily lessons). Please indicate your interest in this option using the final question on the Booking Request Form for this program (“Is there anything else you would like us to know?”).

Yes! To alleviate the costs associated with winter sports and support families that may experience financial need, our First Tracks programs are free to register. This has been made possible by our generous program funders. Equipment rental costs are included in the waived registration fee; however, if you have equipment to participate, we encourage you to identify this on your booking request form(s) so that equipment resources can be freed up and re-allocated to other participants.

Limited vouchers may also be available to support travel costs, ski/snowboard-related clothing purchases through external vendors, and food bought on-site at Glen Eden. Please identify these additional needs on your form and we will do our best to provide extra support as it becomes available.
