Kelso Weekly MTB Race Series 2013

THE BASICS

The weekly MTB race series is BACK for 2013 with 14 races and the Finale Event!

Races begin on May 21 and run every Tuesday until the Finale Event on August 27 (last race August 20).

With 14 races in total, some of the best climbs in southern Ontario and multiple distances/categories this is a great addition to your training program or a fun way to challenge yourself to achieve a personal best.

Sign up for the series (14 races + finale event) and choose to race as many as you want; or sign up for individual races whenever you want.

We encourage EVERYONE to sign up for the series as it's such a great value and it makes signing in each week so much easier.

Why You Should Sign Up For The Entire Series:

You will receive a super duper free and rather fancy pants Kelso Race Series T-Shirt.
There are 14 races so signing up for the whole series works out at only $6.21/race.
Depending on the package you choose the full series option offers better value even if you can only make 7 or 8 of the races.
You will only have to complete the registration form and waiver ONCE – saving you precious time each Tuesday because all you will have to do is sign in as opposed to completing two forms and paying each time you race.
You will get to keep your number plate for the whole season – and for ever after. (single racers must return their number plates after each event).
AND maybe most importantly, we will track your results for the season end category awards (PLEASE NOTE: we WILL NOT be tracking results for single race entries).

FREE KIDS RACES

We will once again offer a safe, fun, challenging and FREE kids course at the base of the hill so be sure to bring the little ones out for a taste of the action.
An ALL NEW short course for the kids that is completely separate from the long course to improve the safety and enjoyment for everyone was unveiled in 2011 and got a big thumbs up from the kids so we'll stick with it. The loop is approximately 500m and the kids go 'round 4 times. It's all on grass and involves a bit of climbing and a downhill where the speeds can get up a little. All are welcome but even the kids should have at least some decent bike handling skills and good brakes (coaster brakes aren't ideal).
